“We may not be able to make sense of our suffering, but we can learn to make meaning from it. If we’ve seen difficulty, and not just survived, but gone on to heal and connect deeply with the experience of being a person that can love and care for others, then we are given a unique perspective that can allow us to help others who are in the midst of difficulty. We can learn to be with them with compassion and empathy and explore if they may benefit from the practice as well. There is nothing more meaningful than showing up and caring.” - Fez
In this 8 week series we will explore both the underlying principles of yoga therapy and their practical application - inspired by Fez’s years of study with Tom Alden, D.C. Within the context of each 90 minute yoga class, we will build upon these principles in hopes that our practice can more effectively support our physical health and well being.
This series is for anyone with a committed yoga practice. While we will be exploring themes from Fez’s previous “Addressing Pain Through Yoga” series, it is not a prerequisite.
While the topic of this series is yoga therapy, it is a group class and therefore is not an appropriate setting to work directly with acute issues better suited to 1-on-1 setting. If you have questions regarding this please contact Fez at firstname.lastname@example.org.
